1st Day

Arrival – Damascus

After arrival and completion of the entry formalities, you will meet our representative and continue to Damascus. After checking in at the hotel, the programme will begin depending on your arrival time.Explore the Old City of Damascus with your local guide, including the Grand Umayyad Mosque, the traditional souks, Al-Azem Palace and Khan As’ad Pasha. Overnight in Damascus.

2nd Day

Damascus

After breakfast, continue exploring the rich cultural heritage of Damascus. Walk along Straight Street, visit traditional Damascene houses and discover local crafts that have been passed down through generations.The programme may include traditional brocade weaving, Arabic calligraphy and glass-blowing workshops. You will also have some free time for shopping before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Damascus.

3rd Day

Bosra – Damascus

After breakfast, travel south to Bosra, one of Syria’s most important archaeological cities.Visit its remarkably preserved Roman theatre and explore the historic centre, where Roman, Byzantine and Islamic heritage can be seen side by side. After the visit, return to Damascus for an overnight stay.

4th Day

Palmyra – Al-Mishtaya

Depart in the morning for Palmyra, the legendary oasis city known as the Pearl of the Desert.Explore the main archaeological remains, including the monumental colonnaded street, the Valley of the Tombs and other accessible landmarks. When conditions allow, the programme may also include Al-Hayyir Al-Sharqi Palace. Continue to Al-Mishtaya for an overnight stay.

5th Day

Krak des Chevaliers – Idlib Region – Aleppo

After breakfast, visit Krak des Chevaliers, one of the world’s best-preserved medieval castles and one of Syria’s most impressive historical landmarks.Continue towards the Idlib region, where visits may include Qalb Lozeh, Serjilla and Al-Bara, depending on local access and permissions. These historic settlements preserve important examples of Roman and Byzantine architecture.After the visits, continue to Aleppo for an overnight stay.

6th Day

Aleppo

After breakfast, spend the day discovering Aleppo, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.Visit the Citadel of Aleppo, explore the historic souks, traditional khans and old neighbourhoods, and discover the city’s diverse religious and cultural heritage. Depending on opening conditions, the programme may also include the National Museum.In the evening, enjoy free time to experience the atmosphere of Aleppo. Overnight in Aleppo.

7th Day

Aleppo – Raqqa

After breakfast, depart Aleppo and continue east towards Raqqa, located on the banks of the Euphrates River.Depending on local access and permissions, the programme may include views of the Euphrates, Tabqa Dam and Jaber Castle. Enjoy the surrounding landscapes and, when timing allows, a memorable sunset over the river.Overnight in Raqqa.

8th Day

Raqqa – Hama – Homs

After breakfast, depart Raqqa and continue towards Hama, famous for its historic wooden waterwheels known as norias.Explore the old quarters and see some of the city’s most important landmarks before continuing to Homs.In Homs, visit the Church of the Holy Belt, Khalid ibn Al-Walid Mosque and parts of the Old City. Overnight in Homs.

Maaloula – Damascus

After breakfast, travel to Maaloula, one of Syria’s most distinctive mountain villages and one of the places where Aramaic is still spoken.Visit the Monastery of Saint Thecla, the mountain passage associated with her story and the Monastery of Saints Sergius and Bacchus. After the visit, return to Damascus for the final overnight stay.

10th Day

Damascus – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy free time in Damascus depending on your departure schedule.Transfer towards Beirut or the individually agreed departure point. Departure through Damascus International Airport may also be arranged in advance.

Important Notes

  • This tour is planned to begin on the 15th of every month throughout 2027.
  • The published price applies when at least three travellers join the departure: USD 1,500 per person sharing a twin or double room, or USD 1,750 per person in a single room.
  • Tours for one or two travellers may still be arranged at an individually confirmed price.
  • Transportation is arranged with up to three guests per vehicle. Additional vehicles are provided for larger groups. Groups requiring a coach or special transport arrangements will receive an individual quotation.
  • Standard arrival and departure arrangements are via Beirut. Arrival or departure through Damascus International Airport may also be arranged individually upon request.
  • A passport copy and all information required for the entry approval process must be provided before travel. Documents should normally be submitted at least two weeks before arrival unless our team advises otherwise.
  • Payments are normally made in cash after arrival. Travellers should bring sufficient USD or EUR, as international bank cards and ATMs may not be reliably available in Syria.
  • Photography of military checkpoints, military personnel and sensitive facilities is not permitted. Please follow the instructions of your guide throughout the tour.
  • Visits to the Idlib region, Raqqa, Tabqa Dam, Jaber Castle and other sensitive locations depend on local access, permissions and operational conditions at the time of travel.
  • The itinerary may be adjusted according to local access, permissions, opening conditions and operational circumstances at the time of travel.
  • Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
